Teens Act

Helps underserved high school students graduate from high school and pursue a college education.

Description:

Provides mentoring to students (Junior, Middle and High School). In elective classes, mentors meet with Teens Act students after school, in family home settings, in the library, or elsewhere (Community Program facilities) to provide one-on-one additional homework help, mentoring, and support.

Eligibility:
Junior, Middle, and High school students who have a low GPA (less than 2.5), receive free or reduced lunch, or may be the first in the family to graduate from high school and go to college.

Provides support to high school students to navigate college life. Support can include looking at colleges, college prep, financial aid information, and information on community resources.
