A statewide resource offering information and services to help people with disabilities acquire and use assistive technology devices. Utah Center for Assistive Technology (UCAT) offers evaluations to anyone within the state of Utah. Also provides automobile and van adaptations to improve the function of people with disabilities.

Description:

Evaluates and complete vehicle technology modifications to increase a client's function in everyday living. Modification examples include adding vehicle hand controls and adding a lift to a van for wheelchair access.

Provides assistive technology devices on loan for up to 30 days. This ensures that the device meets the needs of the client.

Description:

Modifies assistive technology equipment to better meet a client's needs. Also designs, builds, and fabricates custom devices. Trains clients to use devices for the activities of daily living. Assesses job and home environments to maximize the effectiveness of the equipment for the client.
