Offers programs for students ages birth - 22 throughout Utah for those diagnosed with blindness or a visual impairment, identified with a hearing loss, and those diagnosed with both deafness and blindness.
Works with Baby Watch Early Intervention Program (BWEIP) to provide early identification for infants and toddlers, ages birth to three, and older, with a developmental delay or disability, and their families.
Provides a variety of media to meet the specialized needs of sensory impaired students throughout the state. Services include captioned films for the hearing impaired, braille, large print, recorded materials for the visually impaired, a parent resource library, textbook depository, visual and teaching aids that support the Utah State Core Curriculum, books for recreational reading, as well as adaptive materials which have been designed specifically for use by the hearing impaired and visually impaired.
Assists families in location appropriate resources and assistive technologies to meet their needs.
Provides early hearing testing for infants and toddlers, ages birth to 3 through the early hearing detection and intervention program.
