Weber County Clerk/Auditor

Provides information and services to Weber County residents regarding property tax relief information, election information, marriage licenses, passport applications, and burial cremation/expense assistance.

Description:

Assists with and accepts passport applications. The completed application, fees, and documents are sent to the Irving, Texas Passport Agency which issues the passport. The agency is equipped to take passport photos, but there are more economical options available elsewhere.

Description:

Provides marriage licenses, list of marriage officiators available and copy of marriage license. Marriage license records less than 75 years old are considered vital records under Utah State Code and a copy of the record may be received under certain circumstances. Marriage records older than 75 are public records and do not require special conditions to receive a copy.

Eligibility:
Anyone 18 or older can apply for a marriage license; If under age 18, see website for details.

Description:

There are six different tax relief programs available for Weber County property owners. Applicants may apply for more than one. Final forms and all supporting documents must be turned in no later than September 1st.

Eligibility:
Blind (certified legally blind), veteran with a disability (VA disability rating of at least 10%), deployed military (on orders out of Utah for 200+ days), circuit breaker (widow, widower, or low income aged 66 or older), and abatement (low income).

Description:

Weber County conducts its elections by mail and ballots are mailed to all active voters three weeks before each election. Ballot drop boxes are conveniently located at each city hall and library. A Voting Assistance Center will be open on Election Day for voters that want to drop their ballot off, did not receive a ballot, or need assistance.

Eligibility:
Voter Registration is open to all Weber County residents that are, citizens of the United States, residents of Utah for at least 30 days prior to election day, at least 18 years old on the day of the election, residing at the address where they are registering. 16-17 year olds can pre-register and will be notified that they are registered to vote when they turn 18.
