Offers affordable, transitional housing program for domestic violence survivors with dependent children to assist in their path toward independence and self-sufficiency. The Kathleen Robinson Huntsman housing at YWCA Utah includes two- and three-bedroom apartments, continued case management and children’s services for residents.
Volunteers needed as donation organizers. Tasks include receiving, distributing, sorting and organizing clothing, toys, hygiene and all donations to the YWCA.
Volunteers will be involved in programs to prevent family violence, intervene effectively when family violence does occur, and to strengthen the systems and laws designed to increase victim safety and offender accountability.
Licensed emergency shelter helps survivors and their families by providing case management, children’s services, housing coordination, job-skill training, and mental health referrals. Each person living in shelter receives a home-cooked meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition to providing immediate safety, the shelter provides ongoing support for survivors that extends beyond their time living on campus.

Boutique volunteers help residents wishing to shop in the boutique. Volunteers organize and re-stock, clean all donations and storage area. Opportunities open to individuals and small groups (2 - 10).
12 week signature healthy relationships class that focuses on essential relationship skills that enable individuals to build relationships based on dignity, respect, and equality.
The Lolie Eccles Early Education Center provides full-time childcare, preschool, kindergarten, and summer camp. Classroom curriculum focuses on developing children’s essential skills with hands on activities and meaningful conversations.
